Stanbury Wharf Holiday Cottages, North Devon, have been awarded Visit Britain 4 stars for 2008, 2009, 2010 and we are proud to announce for 2011 we have been awarded the 4 star GOLD award.

We have two self catering holiday cottages. Both cottages offer spacious, open plan accommodation with modern fitted kitchens including all the appliances & equipment you could wish for, sumptuous leather suites & bright comfortable dining areas, each holiday cottage has its own private garden with furniture & BBQ. We have a childs play area on site and many friendly animals to entertain you!

Stanbury Wharf has much history associated with it, as it stands alongside the now dried up Holsworthy to Bude Canal.
Previously used for the storage of sand shipped up the canal from Bude, Stanbury Wharf Barn has been imaginatively converted into two luxuriously appointed holiday cottages.

Standing in 1.5 tranquil acres of land in the heart of 'Ruby Country' & within a mile of the ancient port town of Holsworthy with shops, pubs, banks, tea rooms & a weekly live stock market, you'll find the location of Stanbury Wharf excellent.

Tamar Lakes are just 6 miles away offering tuition in sailing, windsurfing & canoeing as well as fishing, picnic area's & way marked walks. The magnificent beaches of Bude are just 9 miles away & we are just a few minutes from the Tarka Trail offering miles of walking, cycling & horse riding trails through this area of charming countryside. Being near the Cornish border Padstow, Tintagel & Boscastle are all within easy reach, whilst the Eden Project is 1.1/2hrs drive. Holsworthy Golf & Country Club is nearby where we can offer discounted green fee's to our guests. Lovers of unspoilt countryside, safe Blue Flag Beaches, nature trails, cycle trails, National Trust & National Parks will enjoy this unexplored part of Devon & Cornwall.
